Hi there!

Welcome to my journal. I document my travel experiences around the world by sharing travel itineraries and restaurant reviews so you can travel better and smarter!

Please check back for updates on my latest finding!

Who says you can’t travel back in time? We achieved exactly that by attending the Jazz Age Lawn Party at the Governor’s Island on June 15, 2019.

Upon arriving at the Governor’s Island ferry, it was interesting seeing half of the passengers dressed up for the event and the other half in their regular summer outfits. With a quick ferry ride, we arrived at Governor’s Island just in time to kick off the festival.

Our “Rose Lovers” package comes with some goodies and drinks (glasses of rose & non alcoholic drinks). Lining up to check-in was a bit disorganized, but once we got through that, it was nice to enjoy the event before the crowd descended. So the key is - GET THERE EARLY!

We enjoyed activities such as vodka/gin tasting, photo taking (free with our package), bocce ball, taking dancing lessons, and chilling on our picnic blanket.

Speaking of that, the sky is the limit here with creativity.  Attendees dressed up with the prettiest outfits and the most luxurious tents.

I think we’ve all pulled it off for this festival! What do you think?
