Best way to fly to Asia

We began our 2-weeker in Asia by flying with Eva Air’s Royal Laurel Class from JFK to Singapore with a stopover in Taipei. While this wasn’t our first time flying with Eva’s business class, it was our first time experiencing it for 16+ hours!

Business-class cabin was configured in a reverse herringbone layout and we chose to sit by the window with the single-seat setup.  It felt more private than the middle sections and our seats were very spacious.

The services were top notch and the food just kept coming!

I sampled the German riesling and it was delicious! The only downside was their specialty cocktails..don’t you wish you can get a killer margarita on the plane?? At least we got to enjoy many of the whiskies on the rock.

The tea list was extensive and I went through all of them in order to stay awake.  The bathroom was cleaned after each use and it was very spacious. Given this aircraft (777-300ER) did not have a first-class, we felt like the king of the world by being in the business class 👑

Not to mention, Eva Air also provides pajama sets (I recall JAL does the same too and Korean Air only provides it for First Class clients) and slippers (Cathay does not provide that anymore). PJ was semi fashionable and super comfortable. We saw people wearing the PJ pants at the airport.

All this experience for how much? Just 80K United miles plus tax of $5.6 from JFK to Singapore where we transferred our Chase ultimate rewards into United miles.
