Oct. 11 - 14, 2018 (4D3N):  The perfect beach destination to escape the cold!  Having been to Miami many times in the past, this was my first time going there for a bachelorette party (what a great idea)!!  Don’t shy away from following this guide even if it is your first time visiting (and not going there to party).

Day 1

• Late evening arrival in Fort Lauderdale from NYC

• Car ride to Miami (~35 mins)

• Check-in @ Urbanica Meridian (mid-range) or Kimpton Surfcomber (luxury)

• Free welcome drink @ Minibar (hotel bar)

Day 2

• Breakfast @ The Food Marchand at Urbanica

• Private sailing trip with Sailing with Biscayne Bay (4hrs for $600; soft drinks and snacks included) , see my review

  • Depart from Dinner Key Marina

  • Sandbar

  • A tiny public island in the middle of the bay

• Coral Gables:

  • Check out the beautiful The Biltmore Hotel Miami Coral Gables & the pool

  • Venetian Pool (photo only)

  • Vizcaya Museum & Gardens (W-M 9:30-4:30PM; $22)

• Happy hour @ MiniBar (happy hour 5-9pm; $4 beer, $7 well drinks)

• Dinner @ Pubbelly Sushi

• Drinks & dancing @ Bodega (pick up some tacos when you get hungry from dancing)

Day 3

• Barre class & swim @ Equinox Brickell Heights (rooftop pool)

• Walk around Brickell Center & coffee @ La Centrale

• Lunch @ Puerto Sagua

• Beach time

• Pre-gaming at hotel

• Pool party @ The Clevelander

• Dinner @ Barton G. The Restaurant (good for celebratory occasions)

• Drink & dance @ Sweet Liberty (HH from 4-7pm - 95 cents oyster + $5-8 drinks)

Day 4

• Hang out by the hotel pool

• Lunch @ La Sandwicherie

• Coffee @ Andrix Cafe

• Afternoon flight to LGA

• If pool party is your thing, also consider SLS Hotel or 1 Hotel South Beach

• Clubbing @ Basement Miami (Opens at 11pm; no cover for ladies) or Delano South Beach

• Grab a cocktail @ Employee Only or Broken Shaker (Freehand)

Tips

• When booking flights, check for pricing from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) or Miami (MIA).  Without traffic, it takes about the time traveling from FLL or MIA to South Beach

• Uber & Lyft are pretty cheap and provide an easy alternative to bus or taxi

• There are 5 Equinox in the Miami if you are looking for a good workout!
