Oct. 27 - 29, 2011 (3D3N): It is pronounced as "Boo-da-PESHT ” not Boo-da-pest. I remember seeing men playing cheese at Szechenyi on the Travel Channel, and there it was!! We also visited Prague on the same trip.

Metro to Castle Hill:
Matthias Church, Fisherman's bastion (halaszbastya), Buda Castle, Janoshegy (tallest tower)
Take the Libego (chairlift) down on the hill
Ruszwurm (pastry shop)
Hike Gellert hill for an awesome view
Cross the Chain Bridge
Shop around Deak Ferenc Street:
Jegbufe (pastry shop; closed)
Great indoor market hall (great market)
Hungarian Parliament Building (tour at 10, 12, and 2)
Dinner @ Klassz* (closed as of Sept. 2022)
Hungarian State Opera House (Concert of the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra) – Metro Opera

Hero square (Hosok Tere)/ Millennium monument
City park: has a replica of Transylvania Castle
Szechenyi Baths and Pool (bring a towel and flipflop)

Take the scenic trams (2 & 2a) along the river
